I have been intrigued about Artificial Intelligence (AI) since I got introduced to it, best part is I got to learn about it as a unit in Uni. I was mind blown by the possibilities, rules of movement, integration with hardware and its applications. So let me slow down before I go all nerd…
Artificial Intelligence is intelligence demonstrated by machines, unlike the natural intelligence displayed by humans and animals. It is often used to describe machines (or computers) that mimic “cognitive” functions that humans associate with the human mind, such as “learning” and “problem solving”(Source: Wikipedia)
AI has enabled us to achieve unimaginable possibilities. I mean take a look at Tesla, cars are not only electric but also they can drive themselves. Hotels have robots that carry your baggage. Manufacturing has become a lot easier since the complexities have been programmed in and the machines do the work – leading to extensive growth in robotics. The social media experience is based on AI since suggestions are based on what you like or follow. E-Commerce is growing at rapid rate as well due to the user experience – from search of a product to delivery of the product – which is customized to the online user courtesy of AI. I could go on and on…
AI has millions of applications over many sectors such as Heath care, Manufacturing, Analytics, Robotics, Farming, Logistics, Transport, Marketing etc. It has accomplished so much so far and it will keep growing due to the use of data and through the data it is coded to learn user behavior.

However, it has its downsides, that is employment, privacy, security and maybe a robot era where computers run the world. Think about it, we human beings have made the impossible possible over the centuries. Your phone can respond to you, that is a big deal!
Anyway I’ve been learning more on AI – actually i’m currently watching In the Age of AI, check it out – and it has been exciting to say the least. The Tech revolution has been happening and I’d urge you to learn more of what is going on, because it is inevitable.
